a newer term that is used in situations where it becomes difficult to assign blame on people/groups for something that they were mainly responsible for. Hoping to avoid any confrontation on Twitter, the user will cite “Environmental Racism” as being the culprit for modern problems that pertain to the environment and living arrangements. By doing this, the user accomplishes 2 things: they come across as ‘tolerant’ to POC friends while also helping them avoid any sort of accountability for their actions.


Ex. “Jackson, Mississippi is a majority African American city that is currently facing a water crisis. This is textbook environmental racism, simple as.”
