a phrase used at the beginning of a tweet to indicate that the user is about to make a controversial point.  Often used by politicians who are not “tech savvy”,  these tweets are usually written by the staffers who actually operate the account.

Ex.

“Let me be very clear, White Supremacy is found in all aspects of American life and needs to be addressed.”
