Y’all

a co-opted pronoun meaning ‘you all’ that is often used by individuals who come from areas nowhere close to the South.  While it’s unclear how the person may have picked up the term, the non-Southerner who uses it does so in an effort to sound ‘cute’ when sending out a tweet.

Ex. “I feel like most of y’all who talk smack on New York City wouldn’t make it a day here without crying.”
